About the Team Leader position:

The Team Leader leads, guides, and supports a team of consultants to achieve sales targets,
provide exceptional customer service, and deliver financial solutions to educational
institutions, students, or other relevant clients.

This involves motivating and managing the team to ensure optimal performance while
maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies, acting as a coach
and mentor, resolving escalated issues, facilitating professional development, and
implementing sales strategies that align with the company’s goals.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Establish an unobstructed vision and objectives for the team, aligning
    them with the company’s goals.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best
    practices, Achievement of team goals and milestones.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a high standard of professionalism,
    integrity, and performance- Feedback from team members on
    leadership effectiveness

Sales Performance Management

  • Monitor individual and team sales performance through key
    performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, lead
    generation, and revenue achieved.
  • Implement effective sales strategies, offer guidance on best practices,
    and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Identify and address performance gaps by providing coaching, training,
    and necessary resources to team members.
  • Ensure growth of new business acquisition to 40% from the current
    33%.

Customer Focus

  • Promote a customer-centric culture within the team, emphasizing
    empathy, responsiveness, and effective communication.
  • Oversee customer interactions to ensure consistency in service quality
    and adherence to the company’s standards.
  • Manage escalated customer complaints and provide solutions to
    maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reduction in customer complaints and faster resolution times.

People Management

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive
    feedback.
  • Identify skills gaps and arrange training and professional development
    programs.
  • Foster a positive work environment by recognizing achievements,
    resolving conflicts, and promoting teamwork.
  • Improvement in individual consultant performance over time

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure team compliance with relevant industry regulations and the
    company's internal risk management policies.
  • Conduct regular audits or checks on sales processes, customer
    interactions, and documentation to identify any risk areas.
  • Train and educate team members on compliance and risk mitigation
    strategies

Plan, coordinate & Control Tactical Sales Activities

  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new
    markets.
  • Direct acquisition, growth, drive and monitoring sales and align them in
    terms of sales plan to achieve regional profit target.

Personal Development

  • Attend external courses / sales workshops.
  • Register for a course/programme which is focused on self-empowerment and career growth

    • National Diploma/ Degree in Marketing & Sales or related field.
    • 3 years or more sales experience in a sales environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/ leadership role.
